Apprenticeships at Commonwealth Senior Living

At Commonwealth Senior Living, our mission is to improve the lives of seniors, their families, and each other. We prioritize our Core Values and invest in our people, ensuring they receive the necessary training to advance their careers. Our apprenticeship program allows associates to earn while they learn and aligns with our goal of growing a strong healthcare workforce.

To address the healthcare industry's skills gap, we partnered with Argentum and Hamilton-Ryker through the Healthcare Apprenticeships Expansion Program (HAEP). This program enables us to support our associates in building rewarding careers as caregivers, CNAs, LPNs, and RNs.

What is an apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are structured learning programs designed to train individuals in a specific career. They provide a clear career path, combining on-the-job training and classroom (including online) learning for continuous advancement.

Who can become an apprentice?
Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED. Acceptance, continuation, and graduation from the program depend on factors like proficiency, ability to complete tasks, and physical capability.

How does the apprenticeship work?
Apprenticeships offer the unique advantage of earning while you learn. There are no student loans or hefty tuition bills to worry about. Your investment is your time, effort, and energy. As you progress through your training, there will be opportunities for salary increases. At Commonwealth Senior Living, our Caregiver and Healthcare apprentices receive on-the-job Direct Care Staff Training approved through the Department of Social Services for Assisted Living Facilities.

If you're interested in a career where you can directly impact the lives of seniors and their families, start your journey as a healthcare professional with our paid apprenticeship program today.

Commonwealth Senior Living will not discriminate against apprenticeship applicants or apprentices based on RACE, COLOR, RELIGION, NATIONAL ORIGIN, SEX (INCLUDING PREGNANCY AND GENDER IDENTITY), SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENETIC INFORMATION, OR BECAUSE THEY ARE AN INDIVIDUAL WITH A DISABILITY OR A PERSON 40 YEARS OLD OR OLDER.

COMMONWEALTH SENIOR LIVING will take affirmative action to provide equal opportunity in apprenticeship and will operate the apprenticeship program as required under Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations, part 30.
