Our award-winning program, Sweet Memories™ is specifically designed to deliver the highest quality of care, support, and engagement to our residents living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. How does CSL welcome new residents compared to other communities?
At Commonwealth Senior Living, our associates take cues from new residents' backgrounds and interests to facilitate engagement in community events and activities. We coordinate resident ambassadors and ensure new residents meet our team at the beginning of their time with us. We also have a welcome program for new residents and families at our communities. For our families moving a loved one in Sweet Memories™, we offer more support through our Sweet Beginnings Program to support the entire family journey.
What amenities do residents enjoy?
Our residents enjoy amenities & services including their private apartments or companion suites, personalized care support delivered by specially trained team members onsite 24/7, award-winning dining including "Today from the Bay" seafood menu & Farm-to-Table fresh flavors, all locally sourced, and engaging resident programs including Travel the World that brings the food, music, games, art & culture of other countries right to our communities. In addition, residents enjoy housekeeping, home maintenance, transportation, and more!
What role does the family play after we move our loved one into a senior living community?
At Commonwealth Senior Living, we go above and beyond to ensure our families are able to visit and stay in touch with their loved ones after moving in. Our families are just as important as our residents! In addition to daily visits, monthly Family Nights provide opportunities for families, residents, and associates to spend time together and get to know one another. Additionally, all Commonwealth Senior Living communities offer access to SMILE, a free communications tool that allows families to communicate directly with associates.
What is the difference in care at Commonwealth Senior Living vs. a Skilled Nursing Facility?
Commonwealth Senior Living provides personalized care in a home-like setting, whereas skilled nursing facilities are designed as an acute medical model and provide personal care in a clinical setting.
